FLUTE LESSONS

Flute lessons are a wonderful possibility to nourish your self-expression. You can experiment with different styles and genres, compose your own music or improvise.

Playing the flute involves controlled breathing techniques, which, properly used, help you to be better connected to yourself and to the world. Breath control also strengthens your respiratory system and increases lung capacity. As you progress and expand your skills, you'll experience a sense of achievement and fulfillment, which can increase confidence and self-esteem.

As a flutist, you have many opportunities to join musical ensembles, bands, or orchestras. The flute is a popular instrument in various musical traditions around the world.

Whether you simply want to enjoy playing the flute as a hobby or wish to become a professional flutist, I am happy to share your journey on this beautiful instrument!

The Suzuki Method

Shinichi Suzuki was a Japanese violinist and pedagogue who developed this concept and teaching philosophy based on the very simple idea to adapt the way how to learn an instrument to the way how children learn their mother tongue language.

The central components are to create a positive and nurturing learning environment in which learning happens over the ear, through tiny learning steps and repetition.

As a child learns to talk long before it learns to read, this method is without reading music in the beginning. Think of a child which tries to speak its first words: First, it only hears the words from its environment, then it will repeat them getting better and better and by its time it will build up a vocabulary.

The parents are involved in the learning process, as they know their child best. They work together with the teacher to create the best possible support for their child. Suzuki believed that every child has the potential to develop musical ability if provided with the right environment and support.

The Suzuki Method is an internationally recognized approach, and I have passed the Education of two Levels from the European Suzuki Association with the exceptional and inspiring teacher trainer Karen Lavie (Holland/New Zealand) to be a certified Suzuki teacher.

You are warmly invited to join our free music information hour every first Monday of the month to hear more!

Chamber Music Groups

Having experienced the challenges that come with playing as a group, I offer coachings to chamber music ensembles of different formations or help people who would like to make music together but don´t quite know where to start or how to proceed.

My goal is to help the group enhance their skills and to work on their performance and repertoire.
